Asking Around Provides Results
My biggest dilemma was what domain name to pick for my web site. It had to be easy-to-memorize, catchy, and, well, available for registration! I examined quite a few until I discovered one that was available for registration, but then I saw the shocking price, as I had selected a .co.uk domain name. These country-code domain names are clearly more costly than the common .com, .net, .org, etc. TLDs. With my scarce allowance, I simply surrendered that idea and started contemplating discovering a new web hosting vendor. I revealed my intention to practically everybody I knew who got an idea about websites and the web in general, so a friend of mine showed me the website NTChosting.com and told me: "There you go! Cut-price web site hosting plans! And a free domain!"

Needless to say, initially I presumed that he was kidding, but he wasn't. These guys from NTCHosting deliver inexpensive website hosting packages - on shared servers, which does not seem to be a problem for small and mid-size websites. What is more, they are based in the UK, and have web servers in Great Britain. Well, not only - but also in the USA, Sweden and Australia, but what I wanted was a UK-based hosting solution anyway. The biggest plus, however, is that they give you a free-of-cost domain if you register for a year rather than paying on a monthly basis! That does not apply to .co.uk domains, unfortunately, because they are registered for a period of two years by default, but .com, .net, .biz, .org and several other domains come free of cost, so how could I resist this free offering?

With the free domain registration and their modest domain name and hosting package prices, these fellows attracted me. I did sign up and even obtained a tool that could help me build my web site - it is called Site Studio. A site building tool with - I did attempt calculating but lost count! - over 70 web site skins suitable for both commercial and personal web pages. Now, isn't that splendid? And the bonuses do not stop there! I am one lucky lady! Now, enough prattle from me, I should proceed with the creation of my website magnum opus!
